In Room 1 we love to dress up. We have many costumes and masks to choose from. It is so much fun being mum or a dog or Captain America.

Check out our awesome portraits. In Term One we went step by step through the process of drawing ourselves with Mrs Beardshaw. We focused on getting the size right and having all of our body parts.

Planet Earth and Beyond

In Room 1 we have been learning about the Solar System. We have talked about the sun and can name the planets.

Matariki

Room One have been learning about Matariki.
Matariki is the beginning of the Maori New Year. We can see 7 stars in the sky and they are called the seven sisters.
We did some weaving of different coloured paper to create these shining stars.
